Physical Security for Financial Institutions and Data Centres
In a cooperation project with Cisco Systems, the world-leading provider of network technology, an integrated physical security solution for financial institutions and data centres was developed. Physical security in borderless networks describes a network architecture with the highest security and availability in combination with the tried and tested MAKU security technology.
Financial institutions
The solution is used where Cisco network architectures are already used or planned. The added value for the financial institutions is based in the extended use of the existing network structure. For this, the security software DiVA Connect VMS is implemented on Cisco´s network components which can be integrated into the service and it is extended by a VMS Application Gateway (VAG) This provides the financial institutions with an extensive service for all security-relevant areas.
The scalability of the architecture and the protection of investment of the solution also reduce the total costs.
Data centres
In the past years, large data centres took on more and more standardising tasks for the operation of hardware and software in financial institutions. In addition to the acceptance and approval of products and solutions, they offer future-oriented network services to the connected institutions. As an extension of the range of products, the physical security solution lends itself to this. In particular small and medium-sized financial institution which avoided the expense for modernizing out-of-date technology so far can be brought up to date with attractive operator models.
